(Jungnang = Break News, northeastern part of Gyeonggi) = Jungnang-gu (Chairman Ryu Gyeonggi) will start operating a health management project for workers in the region.

This project was prepared to promote the health of workers and create a healthy workplace to create a sustainable healthy living practice system. For the project, the district aims to conclude business agreements with local business sites and continue to build a local community network.

The first project starts with Seoul Medical Center. The district has signed an agreement with the Seoul Medical Center from this month and is operating the ‘How is our company’s health?’ project targeting 1,800 employees. Various online and offline health contents are provided to encourage employees to actively lead a healthy life, and the project will continue until December of this year.

To operate the online program, an employee community is opened and new events are provided every month, such as a 200,000-step walking contest, showing off a healthy diet, a physical activity certification shot, and writing a letter to steer clear of health.

In addition, for two days from October 6, the Jungnang-gu Public Health Center will directly visit the Seoul Medical Center to conduct a ‘health screening’ event. At the ‘Health Screening’ event, you can experience body composition and physical strength measurement, dietary pattern survey, nutrition counseling, smoking cessation counseling and education, and receive a physical fitness certificate.

In addition, we continue to support the health management of our employees through a campaign to promote physical activity and nutrition during lunchtime, the operation of a health club, and the holding of performance competitions.

Starting with the Seoul Medical Center, the district plans to gradually increase the number of workplaces operating health management projects for workers. Businesses located in Jungnang-gu that want to participate can inquire at the Health Promotion Division of the public health center.

Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “We encourage office workers who have neglected their health due to work exhaustion to create and maintain healthy lifestyles through this project. We ask for a lot of interest in local businesses so that we can increase the number of businesses in the region.”
