이번 활동은 남양주시자원봉사센터 회원 및 와부조안행정복지센터 직원 등 100여 명이 참여한 가운데 3개 조로 나눠 진행됐으며, 활동에 참여한 관계자들은 월문천 변 산책로와 인도 변을 다니며 쌓여 있는 쓰레기를 수거하고 쓰레기 분리수거를 독려하는 캠페인 활동도 함께 전개했다.

정진춘 남양주시자원봉사센터장은 “선선해진 날씨 속 환경 정화 활동을 통해 깨끗해진 월문천을 보니 상쾌하고 뿌듯하다.”라며 “앞으로도 환경을 위한 활동에 앞장서 깨끗한 남양주시를 만들어 나가겠다.”라고 소감을 밝혔다.
