이번 보고회에서는 바이오가스를 활용해 친환경 수소를 생산하고, 이를 기반으로공급 및 활용해남양주시의 수소 산업 생태계를 구축하는 중·장기 방안이 논의됐다.

특히, 주민들이 체감할 수 있는 수소에너지 활용 방안과 함께 타 지자체와 차별화된 수소도시를 조성하는 것이 주요 목표로 설정됐다.

홍지선 부시장은 “수소도시 조성사업은 남양주시의 지속 가능한 미래 신에너지의 핵심 사업”이라며 “2050 탄소중립을 실천하고 수도권 동북부의수소경제를 선도하기 위해서는 모두가 협력해야 한다”라고 강조했다.
