이날 행사는 남양주시가 주최하고 남양주시사회복지사협회(회장 지민규)가 주관했으며, 주광덕 남양주시장을 비롯해 사회복지시설·기관·단체 종사 사회복지사 등 300여 명이 참석했다

 

행사는 △사회복지 선서 및 대회사 △유공자 표창 △축사 순으로 진행됐다. 특히 표창 수여식에서는 투철한 사명감과 전문성을 바탕으로 지역사회 복지 증진에 기여한 우수 사회복지사 33명에게 남양주시장 표창과 시의장 표창 등을 수여하며 공로를 인정했다

 

주광덕 시장은 “다변하는 사회복지 현장에서 사회복지 종사자의 역할과 책임은 더욱 커지고 있다”며 “이러한 환경 속에서도 지역사회 안전망을 지켜온 사회복지사 여러분의 전문성과 헌신에 깊이 감사드린다”고 말했다

한편 남양주시는 2026년 본예산 기준 사회복지종사자 처우개선을 위한 자체사업 예산을 11억 2천800만 원 규모로 편성했다

 

신규사업으로는 △사회복지·돌봄 종사자 복지포인트 지원(1인당 연 10만 원) △돌봄종사자 독감예방접종 지원(1인당 연 3만 원) △사회복지사 등 종사자 권익지원센터 설치·운영 등이 추진된다

 

시는 이번 대회를 계기로 사회복지 현장의 사기 진작과 함께 종사자 처우 개선 정책을 지속 확대해 나간다는 방침이다.
